Brand New | Florsheim Kennett
I am back with a new purchase!!
Do you know what’s better than shopping?.. shopping for great quality products and not breaking your wallet! I recently started to visit DSW and Nordstorm Rack, because I noticed they have similar shoes as the department stores.. but for a lot cheaper!! I was never the type to step into stores like these, but I didn’t know better back then. Back then I was a spoiled kid who paid more for things just because it made him feel better, but now I’m older and I live on my own. LOL!
As usual, Sarah and I headed out to shop and I insisted we go to Nordstorm Rack, because I saw a pair of shoes I really wanted last week. As I neared the ever so familiar aisle, I started to doubt it would still be there. But behold, the shoes lay on the top rack just as I left it 7 days ago… “Daddy is here!”. The Kennett shoe by Florshiem is such a beauty and something you should really appreciate. The shoe/silhouette has rich history that can be dated all the way back to the 1950′s when it was mostly worn by girls.
Now the saddle shoes has made its comeback and are now worn by males in their teens, twenties and thirties. It’s not just the males in New York who are sporting them, people in Tokyo and Los Angeles are rocking them as well!
It’s funny because when I was purchasing this.. the cashier, who by the way was a older lady, was telling me how she used to wear these when she went to school. ”Whew… this brings back a lot of memory! Boy did I enjoy these! Good choice young man!”.
I purchased the Florsheim Kennett shoes for about $55 and it’s totally worth it! This post should remind everyone that you don’t have to spend a lot of money to look “fresh”, but instead to be wise with your money and hunt elsewhere. There will always be a place with a similar shoe for half the retail price.
So next time you think about shopping.. check your nearest DSW or Nordstorm Rack! Tell them Paul sent you…. they won’t know who you are talking about, but it’s funny lol.
